If you all saw my last post, I decided to revamp this old denim jacket that was laying around. I added fleece along the inside and the collar to give a nice sherpa lined look. I never rocked the denim on denim look but I thought what the heck, ya only live once amirite’.
Going into the city always gives me a reason to really experiment with some new looks. I rocked my denim jacket with other thirfted goodies like my mom jeans I mentioned in my Goodwill Thrift Haul. It was also an excuse for me to wear my new heather gray beanie I scored at Target that was on clearance for $2.49. The only thing that sucks about light colored beanies is having my make-up smudged on the rim it. I love me a good ol’ striped shirt and this sweater I wore added an additional layer for warmth.
With this look, I couldn’t help but feel like a baws! I want to experiment with more looks and hopefully, some more D.I.Y’s in the future as well.
I hope you found this somewhat inspirational! I’ll speak with you all soon!

I don’t know about you, but I’ve noticed that fishnets are making a comeback. Also, my friend Krissy inspired me to give this trend a try from her outfit here over on her blog. However, I probably choose the worst day to do so. It was Chinese New Year and it was around 38 degrees… 38 DEGREES! The wind chill didn’t help much either. But I was determined.
For my top, I wore a cream knit turtleneck under a maroon corduroy overall dress. I thrifted this cream turtleneck from the Salvation Amry a while back for around $3. For the dress, I secretly borrowed this from my sister’s closet. If I remember correctly, I believed she got it on clearance at Target for around $15.
For my shoes, I, of course, wore my beloved Docs and to create a slimming effect I decided to wear some high black socks just half way on my calfs to go over the fishnets.
I topped everything off with this beautiful wool coat that I scored at the Goodwill on Union Square for only $17! Talk about a deal! Also, if you look really closely it has little squares of color all over the coat. I think this coat is probably my best find so far of 2017.
During the colder season you want to stay warm but also want to look cute. I definitely chose the latter and sacrificed my own comfort. But in the name of fashion, I will persevere!
I hope you enjoyed my little OOTD and it inspired you to give fishnets a try! We’ll see you soon!
